GLADOVNA STAVKA V CENTRU ZA TUJCE<\/h2>\n

V\u010deraj so pri\u0161li na dan novi posnetki dogajanja v Centru za tujce, kjer \u0161e naprej vlada izredno stanje. Po protestu konca julija se razmere namre\u010d niso uredile, prosilci za azil pa \u017eelijo javnost opozoriti na nevzdr\u017eno situacijo z gladovno stavko. Na posnetkih vidno razjarjeni prosilci za azil opozarjajo na obnemoglo osebo, ki le\u017ei na tleh in potrebuje zdravstveno pomo\u010d. Prav ignoranca policije do tak\u0161nih \u017eivljensko nevzdr\u017enih razmer naj bi bila kapljica \u010dez rob, zaradi \u010desar so se odlo\u010dili za organizirano gladovno stavko. Kot ka\u017eejo posnetki, je policija na glasno protestni\u0161ko akcijo reagirala tako, da je zve\u010der v prostore vstopila s policijskimi psi in ustrahovala prosilce, da gredo nazaj v kontejnerje.<\/p>\n

Kaj je spro\u017eilo protest?<\/h3>\n

Kot so mediji \u017ee poro\u010dali, je Ministsrtvo za notranje zadeve junija pri\u010del s prakso zapiranja prosilcev za azil v postojnski zapor za tujce. To je pripeljalo do prenatrpanih kapacitet in vzpostavljen je bil poseben \u201ckontejnerski oddelek\u201d v velikem, z re\u0161etkami zaprtem skladi\u0161\u010du, kjer prosilci za azil brez osnovne oskrbe, mnogi \u0161e vedno po\u0161kodovani in brez \u010distih oblek, \u010dakajo na odlo\u010ditev MNZ. Hrano prejemajo preko re\u0161etk, z ni\u010demer ni poskrbljeno za zdravstveno varnost (nikakor ne gre za karanteno, saj si skupne prostore v\u010dasih deli preko 100 oseb, ves \u010das pa prihajajo novi). Ve\u010dina jih ob priporu ne prejme odlo\u010dbe o odvzemu prostosti, na katere bi se lahko prito\u017eili, niti nimajo dostopa do odvetni\u0161ke pomo\u010di. Tako \u010dakajo po ve\u010d tednov ali mesecev, brez informacij in stika z zunanjim svetom. Nekateri so med priporom sprejeti v azilni postopek in \u010dakajo na odlo\u010ditev MNZ, ve\u010dina pa jih je deportiranih v tabori\u0161\u010da v BiH preko nasilne hrva\u0161ke policije. Mnogi so bili s strani hrva\u0161kih organov \u017ee pretepeni in oropani, vse bolj pogosta pa so tudi pri\u010devanja o odvzemu denarja in nasilju s strani slovenskih policistov.<\/p>\n

Dodajmo \u0161e informacijo, da tak\u0161nega re\u017eim zapiranja prosilcev za azil ne izvajajo nikjer drugje v Evropi, saj o\u010ditno kr\u0161i osnovne \u010dlovekove pravice. \u010ce bi kak\u0161na tuja dr\u017eava evropske dr\u017eavljane ve\u010d mesecev dr\u017eala zaprte v kontejnerjih, medtem ko ocenjuje njihove vizumske vloge, bi \u0161lo nedvomno za velik mednarodni \u0161kandal.<\/p>\n

Kaj zahtevajo zaprti prosilci za azil?<\/h3>\n

Sporo\u010dilo je preprosto: \u201cNismo kriminalci, \u017eelimo le navadna \u017eivljenja!\u201d Dr\u017eava jih \u017ee ve\u010d let vra\u010da v nehumana tabori\u0161\u010da v BiH in onemogo\u010da pro\u0161nje za azil, zdaj pa jih povrh vsega v \u010dasu azilnega postopka \u0161e zapira. Policija to po\u010dne arbitrarno in samovoljno, prosilcem prepre\u010duje uporabo pravnih sredstev in v postopkih manipulira z njihovimi izjavami. \u017delijo si pravi\u010dnih in transparentnih postopkov, zdaj pa so zaprti v ne\u010dlove\u0161kih razmerah brez razlogov in brez odlo\u010db, \u010desar niso do\u017eiveli \u0161e v nobeni drugi dr\u017eavi. Stavko bodo nadaljevali, dokler ne bodo izpu\u0161\u010deni na prostost.<\/p>\n

HUNGER STRIKE IN CENTRE FOR FOREIGNERS<\/h2>\n

Yesterday, new videos of the events in the Centre for Foreigners came to light, where a state of emergency continues to prevail. After the protest at the end of July, the situation did not improve, and asylum seekers want to warn the public with hunger strike about the unbearable situation. In the footage, visibly enraged asylum seekers point to a crippled person lying on the ground who is in need of medical attention. It was precisely because of the ignorance of the police towards such unbearable living conditions that some asylum seekers began with hunger strike. As the footage shows, the police reacted to the protest by entering the premises in the evening with police dogs, intimidating asylum seekers to go back to the containers.<\/p>\n

What triggered the protest?<\/h3>\n

As already reported by the media, in June the Ministry of the Interior began with new practice of imprisoning asylum seekers in detention Centre of Foreigners in Postojna. This led to an overcrowded capacity of the centre and creation of a special \u201ccontainer department\u201d which is set up in a large, barred warehouse where asylum seekers are left without basic care, many still injured and without clean clothes, awaiting a decision from the Ministry of the Interior. They receive food through the bars and there is nothing done to take care of their health (it is by no means quarantine, as the common areas are sometimes shared by over 100 people, and new ones are coming all the time). Despite detention most of them do not receive any decision on deprivation of liberty which they could appeal and they do not have any access to legal aid. They wait for weeks or months without any information and any contact with the outside world. Some manage to begin asylum procedure during detention and wait for a decision from the Ministry of Interior, but the majority is deported to camps in Bosnia and Herzegovina through violent Croatian police. Many have already been beaten and robbed by the Croatian authorities, and testimonies about the confiscation of money and violence by Slovenian police officers are also becoming more frequent.<\/p>\n

Such a regime of detaining asylum seekers is not implemented anywhere else in Europe, as it clearly violates basic human rights. If a foreign country kept European citizens locked up in containers for months while assessing their visa applications, it would undoubtedly be a major international scandal.<\/p>\n

What do detained asylum seekers demand?<\/h3>\n

The message is simple: \u201cWe are not criminals, we just want to live normal lives\u201d.
\nFor several years, Slovenia has been returning them to inhumane camps in Bosnia and Herzegovina, denying access to asylum procedures. Now, above all, they are being detained even during asylum procedure. The police does this arbitrarily, preventing asylum seekers access to legal aid and manipulating their statements in proceedings. They want fair and transparent procedures, and now they are imprisoned in inhumane conditions without a reason and without a decision, which they have not experienced in any other country.
